MB-MT50N
The MB-MT50N system is designed for the construction and execution of lightweight curtain wall partitions of suspended and infill types, as well as roofs, skylights, and other spatial structures. It has been developed in accordance with the recommendations of Cradle to Cradle certification, meeting the principles of sustainable development and the circular economy.
The system has been optimized both in terms of profile geometry and structural strength parameters, as well as hardware solutions, while the applied design features significantly simplify assembly on the construction site.

The system has a 50 mm construction width and combines the advantages of other ALUPROF mullion-and-transom systems, offering greater design flexibility and improved technical performance. Curtain walls built with this system comply with the European harmonised standard EN 13830:2005 (PN-EN 13830:2005).
The MB-MT50N system is available in two thermal versions, equipped with innovative insulators: the standard version with an ABS/TPE insulator, the SI version with a PET/PE insulator, ensuring a very low façade heat transfer coefficient. The MB-MT50N SI version is certified by the Passive House Institute in Darmstadt in the highest A+ class. The minimum Uf value of the system is 0.55 W/(m²K).
One of the most distinctive features of the structure is an additional chamber for the gasket seat in the mullion sections and two rows of transom sections, allowing the use of so-called double transoms. This provides the MB-MT50N system with significant design freedom, enabling the construction of façades with complex geometries while ensuring reliable performance thanks to an efficient drainage system that provides cascade water discharge.
From a functional perspective, MB-MT50N also offers great flexibility in the use of opening elements, based on classic Aluprof window and door systems, as well as sliding and lift-and-slide systems, and elements dedicated exclusively to mullion-and-transom façades, such as top-hung, tilt-and-slide windows, and roof windows.
Features and advantages of the system:
- a wide range of mullion and transom types meeting the highest structural requirements, optimised for cost efficiency (profile shapes and wall thickness)
- available profile depths: mullions from 50 to 250 mm, 1st-row transoms from 20 to 254.5 mm, 2nd-row transoms from 85 to 175 mm
- possibility to use glazing units with thicknesses from 20 to 64 mm
- high thermal insulation performance in both the SI and standard versions, along with excellent resistance to water and wind penetration
- open central mullion and transom groove enabling screw fixing without additional drilling
- reduced width of the central groove for greater displacement compensation capability
- three-stage drainage system ensuring cascade water discharge in all types of mullion–transom and transom–transom connections
- drainage channel design allowing installation of drainage and connecting elements from the end of the mullion
- innovative SI insulator with a rigid core providing more secure screw fixing, easier machining, and damage-free transport
- new half-mullion shape enabling simplified two-part assembly, a new sealing system, and ladder-type assembly
- unified Torx-head fastening screws for easier installation and reliable fixing
- specially shaped internal gaskets with defined corners ensuring high airtightness
- fast connector available in the system for transom connections, suitable for glass panels weighing up to 300 kg
- various façade installation options: classic mullion-and-transom assembly, ladder-type assembly, and fast modular installation
