The mullion-and-transom façade system is designed for the construction and production of lightweight curtain walls of suspended and infill types, as well as roofs, skylights, and other spatial structures.

This system makes it possible to create façades with visible, narrow joint lines, while ensuring durability and structural strength. Thanks to a wide range of available profiles, architects and designers can implement even the most ambitious ideas in aluminium and glass construction.

To achieve optimal thermal and acoustic insulation and to facilitate façade installation, the MB-SR50N HI+ system uses an insulator made of PE material, which provides very good thermal performance (Uf from 0.59 W/m²K). Its shape also ensures proper screw guidance during façade glazing.

With regard to opening elements, in façades with increased thermal insulation of the HI type, it is particularly recommended to use highly thermally insulated windows and doors from the MB-86 Aero system.

Features of MB-SR50N HI+ façades:

  • a wide selection of façade opening elements: various types of windows and doors, including roof windows, façade-integrated windows, as well as tilt and parallel-opening windows MB-SR50N OW
  • a large range of glazing options (including double- and triple-glazed units), together with available insulators and accessories, ensuring a high level of thermal insulation
  • façade brackets with high load-bearing capacity, adapted to the maximum infill weight and compatible with the system

The MB-SR50N HI+ system is certified by the Passive House Institute (PHI) in Darmstadt with the highest A+ class. This confirms that constructions made with this system are suitable for use in passive building projects.
